Indonesian goalkeeper dies after collision with team-mate
Indonesian Football fans are mourning the loss of Choirul Huda, the goalkeeper, and captain of Lamongan FC, usually known as Persela, following a collision with a teammate during a weekend competition.
Video footage showed Huda crashing into teammate Ramon Rodrigues in the 43rd minute of a game in the Go-Jek Traveloka league.
It seemed Rodrigues' knee had accidentally hit with Huda's chest in the event, said the club's communications officer.
The 38-year-old was taken to hospital in exhaustive attention and given breathing aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, however, his condition worsened and he was pronounced dead at 4.45 pm.
