Germany qualifies for the 2018 world championship



With a 3:1 the team around national coach Jogi Loew beat Northern Ireland and qualified for the world championship before their last game. In front of around 18.000 viewers, Germany defended its first palce in Group C of the World Championship qualifications for the World Championship 2018 taking place in Russia. The team captain was Thomas Mueller, on of five stars from Bayern Munich. The goals where scored by Sebastian Rudy in minute 2, Sandro Wagner in minute 21 and Joshua Kimmich in minute 86. Josh Magennis scored the decency goal in the 94th minute.

In total, the "Mannschaft", as the german team is commonly called in Germany, has scored a flawless 27 points out of 9 games, making it a high favourite for defending the world championships in 2018England also qualified with a lucky overtime goal by Harry Kane in group F.
